A few images from a drain excavation we carried out recently. We received a call from an elderly couple who were unable to use either of their toilets. Upon arrival, our engineers located a hidden manhole chamber that was buried underneath a plant bed in the garden. Following a full drain excavation it was clear to see that the drain was severely blocked.
With the use of our high pressure jetting equipment, our engineers were able to clear the blockage and after washing down the surrounding area, subsequently carried out a CCTV investigation to identify the cause. The pipe had completely collapsed further downstream. We informed the customer of the issue and thereafter discussed the remedial repair work that was required.
